An interest in the health field may seem exclusive to students committed to a rigorous and confining “pre-med track” full of major-specific courses. With a diversity of health opportunities presented, the Pre-Health Conference (PHC) provides memorable exposure for students with any interest in pre-health to find their calling.

Here are the stories of undergraduate ambassadors from this years’ Conference that have used the PHC to further a connection between their unique major choices and their passion in healthcare.

As you know, Conference is an all-day event. It is jam-packed with opportunities to meet health-related professionals, schools, and organizations, as you trek the UC Davis campus. We want you to feel prepared and ready to tackle the long day ahead, so below are our tips and reminder for success! 

Did you know pre-health students travel from across California and out-of-state to join us on conference day? This is an opportunity to build connections with school's admissions representatives and gain insights into their application process. We highly encourage our pre-health community, including our Aggies, to attend yearly in order to take advantage of the event that happens at UC Davis to: explore new schools, continue connections, explore their health field, and learn about the application process. 

Dear Pre-Health Community,

We planned our Conference a year in advance and decided to make it virtual to ensure the safety of our team, guests, and attendees. Having Conference virtually, is an opportunity for our attendees to explore more professions, network with schools/exhibitors from across the nation (and world), and learn from new professionals. This is also an opportunity for our exhibitors and speakers to connect with a wider audience, you!

With a virtual platform, you can come and go as needed! Make the most on Conference day and:

We know that a conference from 8:30 am - 5 pm, is a long day. Our advice below will help you maximize your time and opportunities on Conference day. Before we begin a breakdown of the day, here are a few general rules of thumb. 

1. Take notes. We know you say you’ll remember, but don’t take that chance.

2. If possible, unmute and have your video on when appropriate. This will help speakers remember you and have a more “normal” interaction.

3.  Use this as an opportunity to explore and connect.
