General Questions
- Can I register on the day of the conference?
- No, we will not have on-site registration available. We encourage registering early in order to reserve your seat! In 2024 we sold out of tickets and did not open a waitlist.
- Can high school students attend?
- We appreciate your interest and the interest of your students to attend. Unfortunately at this time, conference is not open to minors and high school students due to updates to the campus’ Youth Protection Program. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you are a high school student interested in the pre-health field, Health Professions Advising at UC Davis hosts an annual High School Pre-Health Symposium in the Spring, open to all students! - Does this event happen in inclement weather?
- Yes! Pre-Health Conference will be happening irrespective of the weather conditions. Please plan your attendance and attire accordingly.

- How do I register for the conference?

The last day to register for the 2025 Pre-Health Conference is Sunday, October 12, 2025. You must register online; we do not have on-site registration. - What does the cost of registration include?
- Registered attendees will receive a name badge upon check-in and will have access to all events on conference day, including the morning kick-off, Pre-Health Fair, and Workshop sessions.
Please note, lunch is not included in your conference ticket. Attendees are able to bring their own lunch or venture to nearby restaurants or eateries. Lunch options coming soon. - What is the format of the conference this year?

- How can I plan my day at Conference and what type of questions should I ask?
- To maximize your experience at Conference, we recommend the following steps:
- Review the Schedule: Carefully examine the program (will be posted online prior to Conference, and will also be handed to every registered attendee onsite) and make a list of programs/exhibitors that align with your interests and career goals.
- Be Prepared: Arrive with specific questions or topics you want to learn more about. This will help you stay focused and engaged. Effective questions depend on the exhibitor you are communicating with, but sample questions include:
“What qualities make applicants stand out at your program?”
“How do you view gap years or nontraditional applicants?”
“What resources helped you succeed in your application process?”
- Take Notes: During the sessions, take detailed notes. This will help you retain information and provide a useful reference for future study or research.
- Participate Actively: Engage in discussions and ask questions. Active participation enhances learning and networking opportunities.
- Network: Take advantage of the opportunity to connect with speakers and fellow attendees. Networking can provide valuable insights and potential mentorship opportunities. - Can I look at the program and workshop schedule before the Conference? When will it be published or sent?
- We will continue to update the attendee resources page with information on exhibitors and workshops. The full program will be printed and distributed to attendees on conference day and emailed to attendees ahead of time.
- How can I make the most of the workshops and sessions offered?
- To maximize your experience at the workshops and sessions, we recommend the following steps:
- Review the Schedule: Carefully examine the workshop schedule and prioritize sessions that align with your interests and career goals.
- Be Prepared: Arrive with specific questions or topics you want to learn more about. This will help you stay focused and engaged.
- Take Notes: During the sessions, take detailed notes. This will help you retain information and provide a useful reference for future study or research.

- Network: Take advantage of the opportunity to connect with speakers and fellow attendees. Networking can provide valuable insights and potential mentorship opportunities. - How should I dress for the event?
- We encourage dressing business casual, if possible, and a pair of comfy shoes. Please keep in mind the average temperature during the day in Davis is 72-84°F in October and 49-70°F in November. We strongly recommend checking the weather forecast before attending to ensure you're dressed appropriately.
- Do I need to register for a specific workshop beforehand?
- This depends on the workshop you plan to attend. Didactic workshops (workshops with panels, speaker presentations, etc.) will be hosted in lecture halls and open to all attendees on a first-come first-serve basis.
Interactive workshops (hands-on activities, suturing, etc.) will have limited capacity based on supplies or to maintain attendee engagement. We will be sending information to registered attendees on the process soon! - How to navigate the UC Davis campus day of?
- Take an early look at the UC Davis with the campus map! If you have additional questions, please locate an ambassador and they will be more than happy to assist you!
Group Questions
- How do I register a group for conference?
- Please visit the 2025 Group Registration Form, where you can find details regarding location, timing, and pricing.
Group registration is available for a minimum amount of 15 tickets. Individual tickets can be added on for additional students and advisor/counselor registration. The last day to register a group for the 2025 Pre-Health Conference is Sunday, October 6, 2025. You must register online; we do not have on-site registration. - What does the cost of registration include?
- Registered attendees will receive a name badge upon check-in and will have access to all events on conference day, including the morning kick-off, Pre-Health Fair, and Workshop sessions.
Please note, lunch is not included in your conference ticket. Groups are responsible for lunch arrangements by bringing their own lunch or venturing to nearby restaurants or eateries. Lunch options coming soon. - How do students use a group registration code?
- Once you have registered your group and payment is received, you will receive a unique code that is specific for your group. You are responsible for sharing the code to the students within your group.
Individual students and advisors/counselors in your group will register using the Attendee Registration page, entering both their email address and the group code. By using the code, they will be able to register without entering payment information. - What if I do not need 15 tickets for my group?
- The minimum group size is 15 students. Any group tickets that are not claimed do not receive a refund.
Your organization will forfeit any group registration that is not assigned to an individual by Friday, October 12, 2025. THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION. Attendees without a badge will not be permitted to participate. - Do groups receive lunch with group registration?
- No, group registration does not include lunch. It is the individual or group's responsibility to coordinate lunch arrangements.
Lunch options on campus the day of conference include food trucks located near Hutchinson Field and the Segundo Dining Commons.
Off campus dining options or delivery are also available.

- How do I become an exhibitor?

- When is registration available/how do I register?
- Exhibitor registration is currently open for the 2025 Pre-Health Conference at UC Davis! To register as an exhibitor, please visit the Exhibitor Registration Page .
- When is the last date to register as an exhibitor for the conference?
- The last day to register as an exhibitor is September 5, 2025. We recommend you register as soon as possible for us to reserve you a spot for Conference as well as collect all your marketing assets on time!
- How can I make changes to my registration?
To edit your registration follow the steps below:
i. Go to the registration page - Exhibitor Registration Page
ii. Click on Modify Registration.
iii. Enter your email and reference number (found on your confirmation email).Note: You may update your personal information after registering, but purchases cannot be modified.
To change your payment method, you must cancel your current registration and re-register.
For details, please refer to the cancellation policy on the Exhibitor Registration Page.- I can no longer attend the Conference, can I receive a refund if I cancel my registration?
- Yes, A partial refund (minus a $250 cancellation fee) is available for cancellation requests received by September 5, 2025. To request a cancellation, please email events@ucdavis.edu No refunds will be issued after this date.
- Can you issue us an invoice?
- Yes, please send us an email at prehealthconference@ucdavis.edu requesting an invoice.
- What are the different payment options available?

- Our Exhibitor Opportunities Packet contains information about the different packages we offer. Please purchase the package that best meets your institute’s needs.
- Can I register as one school for multiple programs?
- Yes. Since the field layout is organized by individual health professions, you are welcome to purchase multiple Exhibitor Packages for your institution. Each package must be registered separately to specify the health field associated with that booth or table. This ensures accurate placement and proper coordination. Institutions with Gold or higher-tier packages may represent multiple health fields at a single booth due to their larger size and field placement.
- Can we purchase multiple packages? Do we pay for them individually or all together?
- Yes, you are more than welcome to purchase multiple packages. You will need to register and pay for them separately.
- Are there any hotels nearby for us to check out?
- Yes, the Exhibitor Registration Page features a section called “Local Accommodations” where you can see the location and rates of various hotels located in Davis.
- Can I add/bring additional representatives with me on the day of Conference?
- We do not have the option to add additional representatives. Please select the Exhibitor Package that best meets your organization's needs.

Q: Do I need to bring a tent?
A: No, tents are provided as part of your purchased package.Q: What are the times for the Pre-Health Fair?
A: The Pre-Health Fair takes place from 9am to 12pm. The remaining times are used for presentations/workshops. Please refer to the conference day schedule for more information.Q: Where can I send our items to?
A: You can mail your materials in advance. The timeframe to have items arrive to us is starting 3 weeks prior to the conference, (from September 27, 2025 to October 17, 2025) due to limited space.

A: Parking is not free except for Gold and above exhibitors.Q: Where do we get parking permits? (only for Gold and above exhibitors)
A: Permits will be emailed and will need to be printed and placed on the dashboard of the vehicle.
Didactic Workshop Questions
- What are Didactic Workshops?
- Didactic workshops will primarily take on one of two possible formats: lecture-style presentations or question-and-answer panels.
- What kinds of Didactic Workshops will be at the conference?
- Didactic workshops provide attendees with an opportunity to learn more about healthcare, possible careers in it, as well as the path to each profession. Needless to say, you can expect a wide range of topics! More information about workshop topics and schedules will be released closer to the conference date.
Interactive Workshop Questions
- What are Interactive Workshops?
- Interactive workshops are hands-on skills development and practice workshops led by health professionals. Examples include CPR training, suturing, and case-based discussions.
- Is there a limit on the number of Interactive Workshops I can attend?
- Yes, in order to accommodate as many attendees as possible, attendees will be limited to 1 interactive workshop ticket.
- Do I have to pay extra to participate in Interactive Workshops?
- No, the cost is covered by your general Conference ticket. Once you register for the Conference, you will be directed to a website where interactive workshop tickets will release at a specific time and date leading up to Conference.
Pre-Health Fair Questions
- What Health Professions will be included in the fair?
- We are looking forward to having as many different professions represented as possible. For reference, the 2024 Pre-Health Fair featured medicine, chiropractic, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, podiatry, veterinary medicine, public health, and more. The health professions in the 2025 Pre-Health Fair have not been finalized.
Speaker Questions
- How can I sign up to be a speaker?
- If you are interested in signing up as a speaker or would like to host your own workshop, please refer to the Speakers page.
- What can speakers do?
- Speakers have the opportunity to host a workshop or speak on a panel. Although the exact topic might differ from workshop to workshop, these sessions generally help inform attendees about a health field or practice skills relevant to them.
- Are speakers assigned workshops or can they decide their own workshop?
- Speakers are encouraged to fill out the speaker interest form. The Conference Programming Team will use this and work with the speaker to decide what topic is the best fit for them.
